Trauma Therapy
Trauma can reshape how you see yourself, others, and the world. With the right support, healing is possible — and you don’t have to do it alone.
What Is Trauma?
Trauma is any experience that overwhelms your ability to cope. This includes single-incident trauma (accidents, assault, natural disasters) as well as complex, relational, or childhood trauma that unfolded over time. Trauma doesn’t have a hierarchy — your pain is valid, whatever its source.
Left unaddressed, trauma can affect every area of life: your relationships, your work, your sense of self, and your physical health. But with skilled, compassionate support, it’s possible to process what happened and reclaim your life.
Signs You Might Benefit from Trauma Therapy
Flashbacks, nightmares, or intrusive memories
Emotional numbness or feeling detached
Hypervigilance or being easily startled
Avoiding reminders of the traumatic event
Difficulty trusting others or feeling safe
Unexplained physical symptoms (headaches, fatigue)
Our Approaches
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
A highly effective, research-backed approach that helps the brain process and integrate traumatic memories so they lose their hold on the present.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
DBT helps trauma survivors regulate overwhelming emotions, tolerate distress without avoidance, build mindfulness skills, and stay grounded — creating the stability needed before processing traumatic memories safely.
Trauma-Focused CBT
TF-CBT helps you identify and reshape the thought patterns and behaviors that keep you stuck, building practical skills for moving forward.
